15th Anniversary Press Release

Colorado Based Bhakti Commemorates Fresh Ginger Chai Concentrates Created 15 Years Ago

Award-winning, female-founded and led, Bhakti honors the inspiration behind the company and their mission in elevating the chai experience.

BOULDER, Colo., (September 1, 2020): It all began with a mason jar. With a dedication to social change and a passion for travel, founder, Brook Eddy, went to India to research a movement based on the principles of Bhakti, or "devotion". She began brewing fragrant fresh chai with fiery spices and bottled it in mason jars fifteen years ago. When those mason jars were returned empty with requests for more chai, this single mother of toddler twins, working a full-time job, decided in her free time to start a chai company.

Since inception, Bhakti has brewed more than 2 million gallons of chai and is the #1 chai concentrate in the natural channel. To honor the origin story of Bhakti and its 15th Anniversary, they have commemorative jars available at www.drinkbhakti.com.

“Using Fair Trade and organic ingredients matter. We don’t want our tea infused with poor working conditions that disproportionally affect women, injustice, lack of healthcare, and environmental degradation,” said Eddy. Bhakti’s signature fresh-pressed organic ginger, and only using Fair Trade and Organic ingredients - sets them apart from the chai competition. They also offer an unsweetened version with just three clean ingredients – fresh ginger, tea, and spices.

Bhakti has spent the last 15 years growing to be a national brand, innovating and championing female empowerment through charitable contributions and scholarships for women and girls through its GITA (GIVE.INSPIRE.TAKE ACTION.) giving platform.

About Bhakti: Rooted in sustainability and steeped in social change, Bhakti is a certified B Corporation, only uses organic and fair trade ingredients, and is the #1 tea concentrate in the natural channel – nationally.
